Vision

IPG envisions a Philippine society where a modernizing, equitable, sustainable, and participatory local governance is thriving; the poor and marginalized are organized and empowered to autonomously pursue the resolution of their issues within the framework of inclusive and social development; and within a social and political context characterized by democratic pluralism and enabling electoral system and culture that will strengthen respect for human rights and the rule of law.

 

Mission

IPG capacitates and empowers civil society organizations to enable them to participate and engage in local governance in pursuit of social and national transformation and development; advocates for political and social reforms that impact on the lives of the marginalized; enhances meaningful participation in governance of all stakeholders, especially marginalized; supports local government officials who are committed to accountable, responsive, and inclusive governance; and provides a forum for sharing insights and experiences within the development community.
